Sarah Badman-Flook

Director

Sarah looks after the social media and marketing side of the business and packing all your online orders. Sarah has built up a 14 year career in estate maintenance and conservation but is ready for the next challenge and working for Velo Works full time.

Her passions include film photography, cycle touring and hiking. On the bike Sarah loves her recently upgraded 17 year old Trek for cycle touring, her early 2000’s Kona Pahoehoe for mountain biking and is considering joining Paul in adding a Brompton to her collection.

Paul Flook

Mechanic

Paul is a qualified bike mechanic with over 15 years experience of fixing and maintaining bikes. His passions include hand building wheels and vintage bike restorations. On the bike, he loves nothing more than cycle touring on his Brompton, road riding on his vintage Argos Racing cycle or zipping through the forest on his 90’s ATB.

Who we are

Velo Works is an independent online bike shop based in Bristol owned and run by Paul and Sarah. Both are life-long cyclists and share a love for bikes and the outdoors.

Originally from Bristol they moved to Scotland for an adventure and lived and worked there for 9 years. They set up Velo Works in Glasgows West End in 2017 and have grown a thriving and exciting business. However, it’s time to spend more time with family and Velo Works has now moved to Bristol

Velo Works is an extension of Paul and Sarah's love for cycling and a way to share their passion with other cyclists, whilst offering a quality service and experience. After their travels through Europe in 2016 the name Velo Works was chosen, from their love of cycling in France. Velo meaning 'Bike' in french.

Our Ethos

Velo Works is a service led company and we put our customers and their bikes at the heart of what we do. We are and always will be a small company as we believe this is the best way to deliver a consistently high level of service to our customers.

We never rush any work and the appropriate time is given to all of our customers bikes. We make sure all servicing and repairs are to a high standard and all of our work is fully guaranteed.

We always strive to stick to the estimates we give our customers. In situations where there are further costs for work we keep our customers fully informed and take them through this process with us so they fully understand what work has been completed on their bike.

We love cycling and Velo Works is all about enabling others to enjoy riding their bike.
