Strong, light and durable wheels with quality components hand built in Bristol. We use DT Swiss 240 hubs and the light weight, DT Swiss RR 421 rim. We bring both these components together using DT Swiss Competition double butted spokes and Prolock brass nipples.

With all of our wheels they are hand built to a high standard within 0.2mm lateral and 0.5mm radial tolerances.

These wheels are built to order and available within 5-7 days once an order is place.

Hubs - DT Swiss 240

• In 1994 DT Swiss launched the original Hügi ratchet rear hub, a marvel of Swiss precision engineering that set new standards for reliability and quality in the industry
• DT's twin-ratchet 240 is now an established gold standard for lightweight and reliable rear hubs but time doesn't stand still and with 25 years of research, development and production experience behind them, it was time for DT Swiss's engineers to look again at the technology DT pioneered so many years ago
• The result is the new generation of 240 hubs with Ratchet EXP, an even more refined and evolved ratchet system, by moving the drive-side hub bearing inside the inner 36 tooth ratchet itself, DT have decreased the number of moving parts whilst giving the bearings a wider stance
• The result is a hub that is even more reliable and up to 20% lighter than the previous generation 240 and stiffer to boot with improved bearing alignment and long term durability, truly the finest hubs DT have ever made
• The extensively machined hub shell, axle and end caps contribute to make these the lightest 240 hubs yet with no reduction in performance or long term durability
• As with previous generations, the Ratchet EXP system is designed around a No-Tool system making servicing simple, further aided by new easy to remove, machined end caps
• Custom made DT steel bearings offer the same near legendary long term durability and ease of replacement that the 240 has always been known for

Rims - DT Swiss RR 421 700c

• Want to run wider tyres without adding weight? the RR 421 offers a full 20 mm of internal width making it the perfect match for the latest endurance road disc brake bikes but weighs in at only 430 grams
• Asymmetrical rim profile is intended to counteract the off-set produced by using disc brake hubs, improving spoke angles and allowing for more even tension, strengthening and stiffening the wheel
• When lacing these rims, the offset should be towards the drive side on the front and away from the driveside on the rear, this allows for an optimal balance of spoke angles
• Can be run either with standard clinchers or road tubeless tyres using DT Swiss tubeless tape and valves
• Comes packaged with DT Swiss Squorx ProHead nipples and PHR washers to complete your build
• Strength Boost Welding Technology creates a perfectly welded join for a durable, reliable rim
• PHR washers and convex Squorx nipples naturally align perfectly with your chosen spokes, increasing stiffness and durability with no weight penalty over traditional eyeleted rims
• Unique process for the black coating produces a tough and durable finish
• Suggested maximum system weight of 120 KG, those looking for 20 mm wide rim for heavier duty use are advised to consider the seriously robust RR 521
